Create. Explore. Invent. Make a community. That’s the whole idea behind the Walsh Makerspace. Located in the heart of The Village, everything you need to get those creative juices flowing is inside these four walls. Ready, set, make!
Makers movement. You may have heard of the Makers Movement. It’s the idea of giving folks access to the tools and space they need so they can create and make with their hands. The movement is spreading across the nation – from university campuses to cities to even neighborhoods – that’s us! At Walsh, we’re proud to bring this amazing movement to you. The space was even designed in partnership with Mark Hatch who literally wrote the book on the Makers Movement. So you know you’re in good hands.
Just bring your idea. Inside the Makerspace, you’ll find all sorts of tools and machinery to make your idea a reality. There’s almost too much to mention, but here goes. For you woodworkers, you’ll find woodshop tools like a lathe, band saw, table saw, planer, drill press and more. Designers and printers can use the t-shirt press, vinyl cutters and sublimation printer. Embroidery and sewing machines are here, as well as 3D printers. CNC routers and laser cutters, too. And for the little makers, there’s a LEGO wall, invention kits, robotics lab and more. It’s good to be a maker!
A community of learning. Don’t worry, you don’t have to go it alone. It seems there is always someone using the space who loves to share their know-how. All the time, neighbors and users are meeting and collaborating.
Make stuff. Make friends. So join the Makerspace and start creating. There’s a whole group of likeminded folks waiting to help, inspire and just have fun with you. We believe it’s not just about making stuff, it’s about building a community. So start today. We can’t wait to see what you make.
