We are in this together. As family members, as neighbors, as fellow Texans – as believers in the true purpose and resiliency of communities.

It is in our nature to help one another, and we know every one of us can play a role in the hurricane recovery efforts. Fort Worth shelters are taking in individuals and families displaced by flooding, many of which will call North Texas home for months to come. These families and even more in the Houston area need the support we can provide now and for the foreseeable future.

In the aftermath of a natural disaster such as Hurricane Harvey, financial contributions to reputable relief organizations are one of the most effective ways to help those impacted. Consider giving to the American Red Cross, The Salvation Army or your charity of choice. Donated goods are also always in need.

To help do our part, we have coordinated closely with local officials to establish the Walsh Village Market as a community drop location for donated items. We will ensure donated goods dropped off at Walsh are distributed to the proper facilities. The City of Fort Worth asks that you please do not take items directly to a shelter.

Local and federal officials have identified the following goods needed to best support those individuals and families displaced or residing in shelters over the coming weeks and months:

  • Children’s socks and underwear (in new packaging)
  • Size XL clothing
  • Baby diapers
  • Blankets and towels
  • Children’s toys, coloring books, etc.

We ask that you bring only nonperishable items to donate. The Walsh Village Market location will accept donations Monday – Saturday from 7 a.m.- 7 p.m. and Sunday from 12-7 p.m.

The Walsh Village Market is located at 13801 Walsh Avenue, Fort Worth, Texas 76008.
