A FAMILY LEGACY

A Place People Are Proud to Call Home

When it comes to deciding where to live, we believe you shouldn’t have to compromise. Walsh is the neighborhood where you won’t have to. Thoughtfully designed neighborhood services, ample green space, amazing amenities and a great school district come together on historic ranch land. It’s an all-encompassing living experience only 12 minutes from the heart of Fort Worth.

History

Here, at Walsh, as in Texas, we believe anything is possible.

WALSH RANCH began as a vision in the mind of Howard Walsh, a prominent Fort Worth philanthropist who, together with his wife Mary, owned and ranched on 7,200 acres just west of Fort Worth.

The Walsh family loved spending time on the ranch, relaxing away from the city and entertaining friends and family. Mr. Walsh spent his Saturdays touring the ranch and checking up on the large herd of Charolais Cattle. He loved the land and spent many hours hunting dove and quail with his beloved bird dogs at his side.

In the 1970s, as Interstate 20 was in the planning phases, Mr. Walsh had the idea to use this as an opportunity to allow for future development. He worked with the City of Fort Worth to install infrastructure before the highway was built, making possible what we have built today.

In 2000, an original WALSH RANCH Master Concept plan for the ranch was completed and approved by the Fort Worth City Council. We got to work planning neighborhoods, town centers, mixed-use areas and commercial space. At full buildout, 2,300 acres of open space will allow residents to enjoy the native prairie land and openness that defines the natural landscape. Over 32 miles of hike and bike trails will connect every home to a park and allow for close-to-home recreation. With schools, community resources, and plenty of space, Walsh is one of the largest developments in the nation within 12 minutes of a major city center.
