Leading North Texas group to design and build custom homes in Walsh neighborhood.

FORT WORTH, Texas (April 18, 2017) – Developers at Walsh, a 7,200-acre community located 12 minutes west of downtown Fort Worth, announced HGC Residential Development as a custom and production homebuilder for the neighborhood’s initial phase. HGC, which was recently recognized as the region’s “Best Builder” by Fort Worth, Texas magazine, joins David Weekley Homes, Drees Homes, Highland Homes, Toll Brothers and Village Homes in building the new Fort Worth community’s first 580 homes. Model home construction is currently underway at Walsh, with presales beginning in late April.

Walsh is the latest project from Republic Property Group, which counts two of the top best-selling master planned communities in the nation among its current projects. The neighborhood at Walsh will showcase a curated selection of architectural styles and floor plans – including modern takes on the Texas Vernacular and Tudor – specifically designed to honor the heritage of Fort Worth’s great neighborhoods and the surrounding natural landscape.

“The care and attention to detail that HGC brings to building one-of-a-kind homes is a perfect match for creating the next great neighborhood of Fort Worth at Walsh,” said Jake Wagner, co-CEO of Republic Property Group. “The carefully selected lineup of the best local, Texas-based, and national homebuilders at Walsh will appeal to a variety of homeowner tastes and preferences for many years to come.”

HGC, founded in Fort Worth in 2000, has a passion for making communities throughout North Texas stronger, one home at a time. A local leader in custom homebuilding, HGC is working with RPG – which developed a 130-page pattern book for the neighborhood – on new designs for future homes at Walsh.

Homes are priced from the upper $200,000s at Walsh. All homes in the initial development phase will be within a five-minute walk of a neighborhood park and each home at Walsh comes wired with the nation’s fastest residential internet at move-in, at no additional cost to homeowners.

Walsh is zoned for the award-winning Aledo Independent School District. Families with young children will benefit from a new AISD elementary school opening in the neighborhood at Walsh for the 2017-2018 academic school year. Future residents will enjoy the amenities of a small town at Walsh: a market, a 10,000-square-foot gym, a family pool with cabanas and kids’ areas, a separate Junior Olympic lap pool, daycare facilities, community coworking spaces, a Makerspace and miles of hiking and walking trails are all accessible to the neighborhood.

The first 580 homesites available at Walsh range from 3,850-square-feet to just shy of an acre. Model homes will be available for presales and public tours later this April. To learn more about life at Walsh, visit walshtx.com and subscribe to the Walsh newsletter.
